  1. Hi Mike. Just wanted to say I’m glad I bought your book. Everything is clear and makes sense. I like how you use “science” to clear up all the bs out there. I’ve read and followed nutrition,article after article for the last two years. And it’s great to know getting fit doesn’t have to be a gruelling challenge. I’m glad people like you can help shine the light on things and get people out of these incorrect ways of thinking that food is your enemy. All those awful dieting tv shows saying don’t eat this and don’t eat that. It will make you fat. All that does is stress people into eating more than they need. Because they think it’s too tough to eat sensible. They don’t know that eating for body composition is what really matters. Your cold hard truth of how people need to eat for their goals is not so cold or hard. It’s a miracle for those that need to know they can still be human and eat the foods they love in moderation and still build an impressive physique. Sure. There always has to be a sacrifice in order to get ahead. But using science as you have makes getting there a whole lot easier and understandable and not really feeling the sacrifices at all along the way. Great job on your personal progress.     Hi, thanks for the useful article! I’m 22 yo female, 106 lbs and 5’3″. I don’t think I need to lose weight but I do want to lose some fat and be leaner (not bulk up). Do I need to be on calorific deficit when I want to lose fat but not necessarily lose wight? This really confuses me. My TDEE is 1591 with activity multiplier 1.35. In a week I do 3x home strength workouts with weights, 2-3 HIIT workouts and 1 running. My job however is on a desk all day, from home. Would you recommend me to go on a calorie deficit? Also, does this workout schedule look alright? I try to lift heavier every time and reduce reps accordingly but I’m just starting out. Thanks!
